What's your color story? - The color palette picker by PRESTON BAILEY

Last week, Preston Bailey launched a new color palette tool called: What's your color story? - The color palette picker. You NEED to check it out! Once again, there's no words to describe Preston Bailey's work.
It's a 1-2-3 steps and you have your result in step 4. Whatever color and style you choose, you obtain INCREDIBLE AND PHENOMENAL DECOR. My favorite décor is the first green color with the elegant, formal, royal tone with candleligh source...So enchanting!!! To use Preston Bailey's words: "he wanted to create something that could help us (planners, etc...) and our clients to create color stories."
Definitely, a COLOR PALETTE that will allow us to dream in colors with style and elegance.

Is Easter Sunday OK for a wedding? What are the dates to avoid getting married?

One of my couple asked me the other day if Easter Sunday was a good day to get married and what were the dates to avoid getting married? I think the majority of wedding articles will inform you about the best wedding dates. However, they won’t often tell what will be the WORST dates to get married so I did some research on that subject and following is a list of wedding dates where you might not consider getting married:
Religious:
If you are Christian, you will need to check first with your congregation if you are able to get married on Easter Sunday. If the church allows it, you can do whatever you want but be prepared to lose some guests if they are very religious. It will also be difficult to find a church available if you want to get married in one since it’s one of the most important church day. Considering these facts, it will be up to you to decide if it’s really worth it to choose this date.
If you are Muslim, you will also want to consult your mosque before selecting a date. Be aware that Shawwal is considered a favorable time for a wedding, but the sacred months of Muharram and Ramadan are very bad times for a wedding. Many Muslim weddings occur on Sunday.
If you are Jewish, it’s crucial to consult first a Jewish calendar before fixing a date because there’s a lot of date that you are not able to get married. For example, Rosh Hashanah (Begins at sundown: Sept. 18, 2009; Sept. 9, 2010; Sept. 29, 2011) or Yom Kippur (10 days after Rosh Hashanah). Most synagogues frown on marriages during the Days of Awe (the 10 days between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur), as that is a very busy time. Depending on your community or denomination, you may be able to get married immediately after Passover, or may have to wait until after either Yom HaShoah or Shavout. You may also wish to avoid Friday evening weddings and Saturday weddings before sundown.

Wedding Dates where your guests might rather be somewhere else.
Ø New Year's and Christmas
Ø Thanksgiving (In US, the fourth Thursday of November. In Canada, the second Monday of the month.
Ø Superbowl weekend (Usually in the beginning of February)
Ø The World Series.
Wedding dates that may bring bad luck to your marriage
Ø September 11
Ø Weekends that include a Friday the 13th
Ø The Ides of March (March 15)
Choosing a wedding date can be really a headache for a couple. The first thing to consider is in what season you want to get married and know the wedding dates to avoid in this season. After all, this is your Unique Event and you want everything perfect!
