Can the invitations be printed on recycled paper and/or with soy-based ink?
In order to keep our invitations at our price-point, we do not carry
recycled paper, but we have had brides supply their own preferred paper for
us to use!
Something additional to add?
I think you covered many things! I would like to stress that we do offer to mail complimentary samples to brides so that they can have a better idea of our invitation quality and our overall work!

Did you know that the expression “tying the knot” initially came from an ancient Babylonian custom in which threads from the clothes of the couple were tied in a knot to symbolize their union. This is a tradition that can be found accross culture.

PANTONE Wedding Inspiration for weddings 2010 - true inspiration!

www.dessy.com/swatches-trims

The PANTONE WEDDING inpiration for weddings color guide by Dessy is one of the ultimate planning tool for us Wedding Planners. This color guide includes at least 200 of the most popular wedding colors for 2010. It is so useful and my brides just love it everytime they see it. Beside helping them choose their unique color for their wedding theme, they also get to know the true name of the color they want. It is a real pleasure for me to watch them getting so excited when they realized, for example, that instead of the common "Red" they think they chose, their real color was in fact called "Posie". You must check it out at: ww.dessy.com/swatches-trims.

Our discover for this month (October) - Stephita Wedding Invitations (3rd part - continued)

(Discover of the month interview continued from October 13, 2010)
Can the client also order their table numbers, place cards, escort cards, ceremony programs, menus, etc. from your company?
We will design table numbers, place cards, programs, menus, thank you cards, etc to match the invitations so that the theme is carried through.

If the client wants to include a picture or graphic on their save-the-date card or invitation, can you accommodate that?
We can defiantly include photos on save the date cards!

Are there any new styles, trends and color combinations they might consider? Which are the most popular? What kinds of handmade or artisanal paper do you offer?
Colour trends for this year are purples - either different shade of purple
or purples with silvers, and royal blues tones. However, classics such as
soft golds & buttermilk creams are still quite popular!
We actually specialize in the metallic pearlized papers to give the invitation an added glimmer!

(October 6, 2010 blog's interview - continued)
Is your printing done in-house or do you outsource the printing?
We do some printing in-house, and others we outsource to a local company.
Do you offer custom invitations as well as templated styles? Is there a fee if the client wants to order a sample of either an existing invitation style or a custom design?
We offer both custom invitations as well as template styles. Brides like to see samples to get ideas and can change as little, or as much detail of the invitation as they like. The price will not change as long as the amount of work and material is the same as the template style.
Regarding samples, we offer to mail out up to 3 samples of our invitations along with paper & ribbon colours so that brides and mix and match different ideas at home.
If the client chooses a custom wedding invitation and what are their options for color, paper type, ink and fonts?
We provide a large selection of ink colours & font styles. We usually help them choose the colours by suggesting to use colours that match their paper and ribbon colour. We have a font chart that we show to our clients where they can choose their favorite font.

The wedding invitation is the first official part that allows everyone to know that a couple is officially getting married. Furthermore, the Wedding invitations show the type of wedding you will be hosting, so it's very important to carefully choose not only your wedding invitation, but also your wedding invitation vendors.
Creations Your Unique Event has the pleasure to let you discover this month "Stephita Wedding Invitations", who create unique & original handmade invitations & stationary at an affordable price. Stephita Wedding Invitations takes a fresh approach to designing the wedding invitations, one you will not often find from other companies.
Below, you will find the first part of the interview:
Tell me a little bit more about “Stephita”
"Stephita" is the combination of Stephanie & Rita, the two owners of Stephita Wedding Invitations. It started off when Stephanie, who was always into different craft projects, graduated from Business at York University and planned her own wedding in the same year. Stephanie & I were best friends from high school, so naturally, we both started the wedding plans together. We made all the wedding details ourselves - from the invitations, menus, church programs to the gated floral backdrop (Stephanie had a garden theme for her wedding) at the reception hall. After the wedding Steph started the wedding invitations business.
It grew steadily every year, and I officially joined in the second year. The business started from working out of her Condo to having our own warehouse with studio space at the front. Our goal is to create unique & original handmade invitations & stationary at an affordable price to our clients.
Our success in this is confirmed when our former brides come back to us to order baptism invitations for their newborns!!
2. What is your design background?
Stephanie majored in Business, Rita took psychology, and our Sales design consultant team have various backgrounds such as Fashion, Photography, and general Visual Arts.
3. What types of printing processes do you offer and which do you
specialize in?
We offer offset printing & thermograph printing. We find that most of our clients are happy with simple offset printing because the invitation itself has a lot of ribbon & brooch detail in it.
