Hilton Hotel - Curacao (Caribbean Destination Wedding)

Copyright pictures
I had a meeting today with the wonderful Mrs. Heliane Maas from Hilton Hotel - Curacao, the Meetings and Banquets Sales Manager (www.hiltoncaribbean.com). I had the opportunity to learn more about their packages and discover great spots. Above, you will see a few pictures showing indoor and outdoor possibilities. Furthermore, Hilton's staff have great customer service. I will definetly include Hilton Hotel in my Destination Wedding Database for Curacao. (information@youruniqueevent.com)

Legal requirements for getting married in CURACAO

First, thank you for sharing your comments. Below you will find, as mentionned in the last post, the information that you need to know for getting married in Curacao.

Curacao Marriage license laws:
  • Three days residency requirements
  • Applicants must be living outside the Netherlands Antilles
  • No blood test is required
  • Documents cannot be older than 6 months by the time of the wedding
  • It takes 2 months to receive a marriage license after requesting one by writing signed by both parties, and having it approved by the civil registration in Curacao. It's important that this letter includes two wedding dates and times.
  • A wedding license cost $167

Identification needed for a Curacao Marriage license:

  • Valid passport
  • Birth certificate

So far, the trip is positive and very excited. I'm learning a new culture and discovering new things. Curacao is known for its underwater paradise and is considered as one of the best dives and snorkeling spots in the world. So, for my couple who would like a bit of adventure for their honeymoon, Curacao is one of the best place to be! Until next time, I'm leaving you with this question, when choosing your destination wedding, what are the three top things that you consider? Next time, I will talk about the different accomodations in Curacao for couples.

Happy planning!

The wedding requirements above are for information purposes only.

Bon Bini to CURACAO!!!

After experiencing an excess of horrible customer service with Delta Airlines (by the way, I will never fly with that airline anymore) where you practically had to guess why there was a 4hres delay because none of the Delta's representative bother to give you any explanation or updates, and of course missing my connection and had to wait another 5hres to catch the next flight, it's a relief to finally reach my destination: CURACAO. A warm and pleasant BON BINI! this is what you get when you enter this modern aiport with a touch of Caribbean style. (Bon Bini means Welcome in Papamiento)
Curacao is a Netherlands Antilles (Dutch Caribbean) where they speak Papamiento, Dutch, English and Spanish. I will be staying with relatives in Ceru Corail Resort in Willemstad, the Capital. Next time, I will share with you information about the procedure of getting married in Curacao and of course pictures.
In the meatime, I'm leaving you with that question: Will you consider having your destination wedding in a location you never visited before?
Until next time, HAPPY PLANNING!
